DISTRICT TOURNAMENT TEAMS
Each season, MALL participates in certain post-season tournaments run by Little League District 16 (which includes the 15 adjacent little leagues on the west and southwest side of Houston). This year, MALL plans to participate in three kid-pitch tournaments at the 10-Under, 11-Under, and 13-Under level. The participation age is based on your child's league age as of 8/31/2018 (except for birth year 2005, where the determination date is 4/30/2018). You must either live or attend school within the MALL boundaries to be eligible (see Link and scroll down for boundary map).
MALL will hold tryouts for the three district tournament teams on Wednesday, May 30 as follows:
10-Under - 5PM - Field 2
11-Under - 6PM - Field 2
13-Under - 7PM - Field 2
As a reference: Most 10U and 11U players are participating in MALL's Minor National division. Most 13U players are participating in MALL's Intermediate division.
The tournament team participants will be selected by the tournament team coaches shortly after the tryouts.
The tournaments are double-elimination and last up to a week. The start dates are as follows:
10-Under - June 16
11-Under - June 23
13-Under - June 20
Each team will practice roughly every day for the two weeks leading up to the applicable tournament. Participants will be expected to purchase baseball pants, belt, and socks as determined by the team coach. MALL will provide a team shirt and hat. Additional information will be available at the tryouts.
Before the tournament, we will need to verify a few details about each player:
1. Selected players have to live in the MALL boundary….if you have moved in and out of the boundary but continued to play MALL throughout we can get an exception for you please see the MALL boundaries. Proof of address: Copy of driver’s license and a copy of a utility bill (or cable TV bill).
2. For age verification: Must be an original birth certificate. Copies are not accepted. We will have to take original birth certificates prior to the tournament and let the tournament directors review them along with other associated paperwork.

DIVISION ALL STAR GAMES
MALL will hold All Star Games and a ceremony for selected players in the Machine Pitch, Minor American, Minor National, and Intermediate divisions on Saturday, June 2 beginning at 5:30PM. Participants will be selected or determined by each Team Manager. At the ceremony, MALL will also give lifetime achievement awards to current 13 year olds that have continuously played MALL from Tee Ball through Intermediate division. More information will follow.
